Here's from Italy...
So sorry for likely Sonics relocation, so worry 'bout the reasons. Actually, there isn't such a good reason to move apart from money, and the KeyArena's lack of earnings could NOT be KeyArena's own fault.
Why ?
Because I think that when a team's not so good, you won't ever buy any tickets, wheather the Arena has 10,000 or 10 seats capacity. It ain't just a metter of seats, it's a matter of skills. Last time I heard something good 'bout the Sonics, well...it was 1996.
Have Sonics lost 17 million $ earnings during the last 10 years ?
Most likely.
But here I go again: it isn't KeyArena's fault.
How many other USA sports team every year get the ball rolling on relocation ?
How many other USA sports team every year get the ball rolling on relocation ?
Green Bay Packers.
Utah Jazz.
Everyone who's got a small TV market.
And does Salt Lake City agree with the Jazz leaving ? No.
And does the city of Green Bay agree renouncing to the 90-years-old-pride Packers ?
Once again, no.
The reason is that someone (stockholders or something else) who prevents the team from leaving, someone who really cares, I mean.
The city of Seattle needs to find someone who really cares.

Does Clay Bennett want an NBA team in his hometown OKC ?
I agree with him: OKC has shown his skills in hosting an NBA team.
And so: why doesn't he think about an Expansion Draft, just like happened several times before in USA sports' history ?
